Visible Image June Challenge

Hi everyone,

Today sees the start of Visible Image's June challenge and this months theme is Visible Image has character...pop over to the blog to find out more of the details.

Here is my canvas board which I covered with metal tape and then used alcohol inks to give it some colour.  Also added was the Tim Holtz on the edge die (steampunk) and a sizzix die (phrase, friend). Using some gel medium I stuck on to the surface some open weave material and some vellum which I stamped with the metal plate stamp.  The other stamps used were crackled background and Max.
To upraise the letters I used funky foam under the metal tape, and added a couple of football buttons and some clips to finished off.

Hope you will have a go at the challenge as I love to see all your creations, they are all so different.

Happy challenging!!!

WOYWW 206

Hi there,

Again there is nothing on my work desk, only a new stamp from Visible Image that I've got to get to grips with (she's a steam punk character)......just not getting the time at the moment.  Painting garden trellis has taken over my spare time along with overtime at work.  But hey I'm off to Italy next wednesday, can't wait to get some sunshine (although it's raining in Italy at the moment)!!!!

So ciao until then..see you all in a few weeks...keep crafting until then....

... will be over at Julia's site to have a look at the more productive crafters!!!!!
Have a great few weeks

Visible Image May Challenge

Hi everyone,

Still not doing a great deal of crafting...still needing some time out.  But I have done a card for The Visible Image May challenge.

The theme this month is BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY......it's a great excuse to get crafting with your brightest colours of another twist to the theme.

Here is my card....

I've used the motor bike, no matter your age, metal plate, and the retro dots stamps.  The background is spray with the funky dylusions inks by ranger, then dots stamped with teal stazon.   I have added a acetate top sheet attached by the two eyelets and stamps the words with black stazon onto the front of the acetate.  The motorbike is stamped and embossed using clear veramark ink and black embossing powder then coloured with the US Art Quest Jewel watercolour palette ( pearlescent and metallic colours). I then attached the bike to the acetate, added some matting and yellow raffia.

Visible Image have been busy making some new stamps...have a look at the new products section to see them.
Pop over to the Visible Image blog for full details and some excellent inspiration from the other members of the team and to join in the fun. Every month the entries are amazing... there are some mega talented crafters out there!!! And don't forget there is a prize for the lucky winner. Visible image April challenge

Hi everyone,

I haven't been blogging much lately as we have had major computer problem in this crafty household.  Nigel has been working his magic and trying hard to put things right but it means striping all the info out and taking things back to basics.  As you can imagine I have rather a lot of crafty info stored and this needs to be backed up to a hard drive so that work can start.....a huge task.

So I have had to beg and borrow friends and relatives computers to uploads photos and videos and do this blog post today.

So now down to the nitty gritty....the Visible Image March challenge.

The theme this time is  GET STAMPING......wide open for your most interesting ideas....as long as there is plenty of stamping involved anything goes!!!

So nip to the Visible Image blog for full details and some excellent inspiration from the other members of the team and to join in the fun.  Every month the entries are amazing... there are some mega talented crafters out there!!!  And don't forget there is a prize for the lucky winner.

Here is my card using the mens collage, retro dots background, crackled background and no matter your age stamps....hope you like the design.

Crafty Individuals drop front storage box

Hi all you crafters,

I have posted some pictures of the finished storage box that houses the crafty Individual stamps.

There is a you tube tutorial on my channel here if you would like to make one for your own stamps.

Decoration wise I have used two of the Crafty Individual stamps... CI 338 and CI IRS 148. The flowers from wild orchid crafts and Hobby Craft and the papers are Crafty Individuals background papers 'book 7' (shades of summer)...they are very pretty papers.

Pop up card

Hi everyone,

Here is another of the Large pop up cards using a Crafty Individual stamp and their shades of summer background paper pad.  I also used one of the crafty Individual masks on the front with some acrylic paint.  The chip board embellishments are from K & Company - amy butler chipboard pieces.

The tutorial for the construction of this pop up can be found on my you tube channel here.
I also have a tutorial for a smaller version which goes in a C5 envelope here

Leave me a comment on what you think, I love to have your feedback.
